SoCo (South Congress)
SoCo was formally know as the plain and simple South Congress, but since it recent facelift, the now vibrant and creative neighborhood is known as SoCo.
SoCo is known for its hip boutiques, funky ‘junque’ stores, restaurants, neighborhood bars and coffee shops. SoCo’s most famous landmark is the Continental Club.
Can’t talk about SoCo without mentioning the First Thursday. On the first Thursday of each month, shops stay open late and vendors line the street giving visitors a chance to shop and enjoy live music (of course - this is Austin!)
SoCo is lined with condos and loft with traditional neighborhood houses right off SoCo.
